Ceramicas Aparici represents the very highest quality of manufacture and innovative design. The premium ceramics and porcelain of this family company act as a driving force for the developments and trends of an entire industry and are present worldwide.

The success of our manufacturing brand is based on a principle that has held good for more than fifty years, namely that our products should never be regarded as a mere building material, but as an essential part of interior and architectural design with the guarantee of their excellent qualitative and aesthetic standards.

It was in the 1940s that Maximiano Aparici started producing handmade red bodied bizcocho tiles in a small kiln in the Spanish town of Alcora, known since the sixteenth century for its important pottery tradition. These tiles were manufactured with the same local red clay that was used back then, and that is still used today, and then sold on to glazing studios that would apply colour and designs on the unglazed surface.

After two decades manufacturing tiles himself in his kiln, Maximiano Aparici, together with his wife, founded Ceramicas Aparici in 1961. The first Ceramicas Aparici factory was his proud accomplishment; it was a small factory, however, it gave him the chance to start manufacturing tiles including the final glazing process, that he had been unable to do before, using his bicottura or double firing technique.

More than fifty years and three generations later, Ceramicas Aparici has grown into a company exporting to over 140 countries worldwide and different production plants within the town of Alcora and immediate surroundings.  The essence and values of our company have nevertheless remained as those inherited from Maximiano Aparici.

Responsible Production

Our thorough know-how in terms of wall and floor tile production and our dedicated bet on offering premium quality, technological innovation and extraordinary service is sustained by our state-of-the-art premises. Our facilities are made of a total of three production plants and two fully covered warehouses within a one million square meter compound in Castellón, Spain.

Our production plants function with the latest technology of automated management for each of the different areas of pressing, drying, enamelling, firing and classifying and include several quality controls along the process which are both manual and automated.

Our commitment with the environment is supported by the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates proving that our production methods are efficient as well as low impact on the environment and natural resources. There is a direct relation between this and the recycling content of our products which consist of 30% to 70% in most cases.

At Aparici we only produce high quality products because we believe that the durability we can achieve by producing with a great quality is also an essential way of respecting and taking care of the environment in the long term.

Social Responsibility

Achieving sustainability through our production processes has always been essential for us; however, as a company with deep roots in the town of Alcora in the Valencian Community, undertaking local socially responsible initiatives has also been a priority from the beginning.

Our involvement with our local community seeks the development and improvement of society through different initiatives:

  • – Educational     FUE-UJI, IESE Foundation
  • – Social                Bona Gent Association, UNICEF
  • – Cultural            Foundation Blasco de Alagón, Cultural Association Moyet

These are some official associations and foundations we collaborate with since many years; however, we are also actively involved in local events promoted by schools and sports associations in Alcora that we believe help our communities bond and retain a sense of belonging by sharing experiences.

Our headquarters include a two thousand square meter showroom where we display our full range of collections. This showroom recreates different spaces such as living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms as well as public areas in order to provide inspiration. At Aparici, we welcome interior designers, architects and developers on a regular basis in order to, together with our contract team, provide personalized assistance regarding design, product suitability and logistics for every project.

The showroom features ceramic and porcelain tiles for all uses – wall and floor, indoor and outdoor – as well as different installation systems, special pieces and finishing products that will enable the final touches and will offer all kind of solutions for any residential and commercial project.

Our showroom is constantly under refurbishment in order to display our latest trends and novelties in fully furnished displays integrated with high-quality sanitary ware, mixers and furniture. These displays are designed by in-house as well as independent designers and they respond to the different current trends and styles that will suit different tastes.

Our showroom is also the location where we present, we train and we work together with our worldwide distributors. These company visits are arranged all year round and they involve a technical training in the production plants, a marketing training and a sales training.
