THE PROJECT'S KEY POINTS
Terre collection modified in our Bespoke Studio
The Ametller Origen CoMMons project, designed by Estudi Girbau Mateu, sought to create a space that not only reflected the brand's philosophy—proximity, origin and product—but also ensured maximum functionality in a high-traffic, restaurant environment.
The Challenge: The main challenge was to find a ceramic floor tile that conveyed the warmth and texture of the earth (nodding to the concept of “origin”), while meeting the highest standards of safety and wear resistance in service areas and areas of continuous foot traffic. In addition, the solution had to be repeatable and scalable.
The Bespoke Solution: Our Bespoke Studio team worked closely with the design studio to modify our Terre Collection. We developed a special non-slip finish with optimal roughness and durability, formulated exclusively for this project.
Impact and Vision for the Future: The excellence of the design and technical performance of this flooring has stood the test. The tile from the Terre Collection with the custom-made non-slip finish not only adorns the space in Barcelona, but has also become the official ceramic flooring of Ametller Origen. It will be chosen for all future shops and restaurants that the chain opens, ensuring a consistent visual identity and safety throughout its expansion.
