Mediterranean Design and Contemporary Ceramics at Kimpton Los Monteros
At Aparici, we are thrilled to be part of the renovation of the Kimpton Los Monteros Hotel in Marbella, a project by El Equipo Creativo that reinterprets the Mediterranean spirit through local references, ’70s-inspired colors, and flowing forms.
In the hotel’s lobby, the key welcoming space, our Danube Otto tiles find their perfect place. Part of the Danube collection, they offer a contemporary take on classic hydraulic tiles: set against a neutral cream base, their geometric patterns bring dynamism and character to the space.
Their 60×60 cm format and the combination of six designs allow for balanced compositions that blend naturally with the warm, Mediterranean palette of the project.
The project includes, in addition to the lobby, other standout spaces such as the Azul Bar, the lounges, and the library, where ’70s-inspired style and a reinterpretation of Andalusian art are present throughout. Every detail is designed to convey Marbella’s history and identity from a fresh, contemporary perspective.
In this context, the presence of Danube Otto tiles in the lobby shows how a material inspired by traditional hydraulic tiles can be integrated into modern projects without losing its essence. We are proud to be part of a project like the Kimpton Los Monteros Hotel, where the collaboration between design, architecture, and materials creates unique, characterful spaces.
